Articles of Doctors of Sciences, PhD and graduate students are accepted (articles of Master students are printed only in a co-authorship with their scientific supervisors). Responsibility for the content rests with the author. The Editorial Board reserves the right to check articles for plagiarism and guarantees the defence of the author's rights while the article is being reviewed. The process of reviewing guarantees equal opportunities for every author. No other requirements except those mentioned above exist. The Editorial Board adheres to the principle of free access to the materials already published in the journal.

“RED SHIELDS” BY JAROSLAW IVASZKIEWICZ: BETWEEN EAST AND WEST

The author of the article analyses the peculiarities of functioning of Ukraine’s image in the historical work “Red Shields” by Jaroslaw Iwaszkiewicz. Researcher makes conclusions, that for Jaroslaw Iwaszkiewicz the territory which is situated near the border between Polish-Ukrainian frontier zone is the constituent part of Europe, and Italy is a symbolic imaginary territory of Ukraine.

POLISH LANGUAGE SOURCES OF XIX – XX CENTURIES IN UKRAINIAN HISTORICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL STUDIES

This article presents an analysis of Polish-language scientific sources in Ukrainian historical and pedagogical studies. The article also reveals the place and role of Polish archival documents, materials of Polish periodicals of XIX – early XX century, memoirs and scientific works of XIX – XX centuries on history of education and culture, which were published in the Polish language in Ukraine and abroad, and also directories, dictionaries, bibliographies in the Polish language in Ukrainian history of pedagogics.

History

UKRAINIAN POLISH STUDIES

The Centre for Polish Studies was created in 2004. Thereafter, the "Ukrainian Polish Studies" journal was launched.The main goal of this annual periodical is to provide an opportunity for disseminating the results of Polish subject-matter researches, introducing them to national and Polish scholars and all other representatives of the Polish community, who take an interest in it.
